All cylinder heads are cleaned, inspected and pressure checked before the extensive machining processes begin. All cam caps are stamped and tagged each head to ensure proper location. Each cylinder head then is ‘jigged’ for the port machining processes. During the intake port machining all ports are sized to the appropriate cc volume and shaped to DCR spec for the most in flow, velocity, fuel suspension and atomization. This also ensures port location to be center lined with each cylinder as most ports deviate from the O.E. casting process. After a few hours of machining, the cylinder head is ‘jigged’ for the exhaust port machining. During the exhaust port machining all ports are sized to the appropriate cc volume and shaped to DCR spec for the most in flow and velocity.
